JBL GO 4 is the optimal portable speaker model. Its mini format allows users to carry any head and enjoy the sound that is much superior to the audio of the smartphone.
Basically, this JBL GO 4 bluetooth speaker is not much different from its predecessor JBL Go 3, but benefited from aesthetic improvements and improved sound quality.
1. JBL GO 4 portable speaker design: Compact, waterproof!
JBL GO 4 is one of the smallest mini speakers on the market and is definitely the most convenient device for bro to bags, backpacks, even pockets, pockets. It is only about 9cm, 7cm high, 4cm thick and weighing only 190g, lighter than JBL GO 3 (209g) about 10%.
In terms of appearance, to say for a mini speaker, the aspects that can be upgraded are almost very limited, but JBL also tried to make the difference between the two generations for users to easily distinguish.

On GO 4, the shape of is still rectangular but rounded on the entire frame and on all sides have silicone to prevent impact, reduce vibration when placed on the table. In addition, to be environmentally friendly, the grille of the speaker is also made from recycled fabric. This layer of fabric is complete, not too high -class or perfect but integrity, no fault of installation or excess details.
Of course, IP67 certification (dust and waterproof) is always guaranteed on JBL portable speaker products, ensuring the device a factor to match the adventure. It also has a small fabric strap, a little longer and attached to the upper right corner instead of the middle like Go 3.
On the left side are the power buttons, Bluetooth and Auracast. Play/Pause buttons and volumes are placed above the speaker. Like most JBL bluetooth speakers, the buttons are easy to identify when touching thanks to the unique design, so we can even make customizations without having to look at the speaker.

Overall, the design and appearance of JBL GO 4 are quite comprehensive. If any aspect needs to be criticized, it is probably the USB-C charging port. Despite the dustproof waterproof feature, but there is no lid, this charging port still does not create a sense of security, if it is often absorbed by water, it can also lead to oxidation and damage this port.
In terms of color, JBL GO 4 wireless speaker has up to 7 different fashion colors, spoiled for users to choose.
2. The connection feature of JBL GO 4
As a pure Bluetooth product, JBL GO 4 abandoned all forms of connection outside the USB-C port to charge. However, compared to GO 3, it benefits thanks to a large leap of technology.

Specifically, JBL GO 4 is equipped with the latest Bluetooth 5.3 chip with the ability to compile Bluetooth Le Audio for Auracast function. This function will replace the PartyBoost technology and apply to the entire JBL speaker, which allows users to connect unlimited speakers to create a larger sound space and greater sound intensity (but the bass does not change much).
On the other hand, the JBL GO4 Bluetooth speaker also allows paired with another GO 4 speaker to form stereo sound. This model is also compatible with Google Fast Pair and slowly has a multi -point feature to connect two devices simultaneously.
3.
The new feature of JBL Go 4 is the JBL Portable application, although this application is not too rich (the basic function is to control, track battery life) but it also offers a bit of advantages. It allows users to switch between the four pre -configured or self -configured audio sets as you like, activate a pair of audio pairing with other speakers or activate the PlaytimeBoost (Mid/treble sound increase but will reduce the bass, in exchange for longer battery life).
JBL GO4 pairing limits are limited to Auracast compatible speakers (GO 4, Clip 5, Xtreme 4) and PartyBoost (Boombox 2, Boombox 3, Flip 5, Flip 5, Pulse 4, Pulse 5 and Xtreme 3).
4. The sound quality of JBL GO 4
Being limited in mini design, we will not be able to ask at JBL Go 4 of its powerful powerful bass. However, it has a very beautiful balance that can be matched with some more expensive speakers.

With the upgraded frequency range to 90Hz compared to 110Hz of Go 3, the bass that Go 4 shows is somewhat stronger but has not brought a sense of spaciousness or deep depth, but this is very normal because the speaker capacity is only 4.2W. The middle sound represents the vocal better, bringing a light sound with a little dazzling in the sine. In addition, a plus point is that whether listening to a moderate volume or increasing the maximum volume, Go 4 does not have too much distortion.
Overall, the sound of this portable speaker is quite good to hear in a small range, good compared to the size and price.
5. Battery duration
JBL said the Go 4 battery reaches about 7 hours when listening to the speaker at a volume of 50% with the default sound (JBL Signature), even if listening to 25% of the volume or less, the battery can reach 9 hours, not too much but reasonable compared to the size.
The charging speed of the speaker is also quite fast. The full charge takes less than 3 hours, and its USB-C port also supports reverse charging.
6.
JBL GO 4 Bluetooth speaker is a value upgrade of Go 3, improving sound balance and battery life. With the ability to connect the spatial speaker limited, Go 4 also becomes more interesting than the predecessor version. Although the battery is still not too much and the USB-C port has a feeling of quite insecurity in the personal perspective, but in general, this is still a mini speaker that brings a good and full experience, perfectly suitable for making auxiliary speakers, listening to music in small rooms, or accompanying on camping trips, picnics.
