After a year of organizing the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, Samsung is expected to bring the launch ceremony of the new generation folding device back to New York City, USA. According to Joongang newspaper sources, the launch event of the Galaxy Z FLIP7 and Z Fold7 will take place in the first week of July 2025, about a week earlier than the time of announcing the Z line last year.
Not only has a folding phone, this event is expected to introduce a new Galaxy Watch model, the first XR glass to run Android, as well as tease the Galaxy Z flip Fe and the first three -screen folding device of Samsung.
In terms of configuration, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to own a 4 -inch secondary side screen and a 6.85 -inch folded main screen, with a pair of 50MP + 12MP rear camera and 12MP front camera. The device can come with a 4,300mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold7 can be equipped with a 6.5 -inch secondary screen and an 8.2 -inch main screen, accompanied by a three -camera system including a 200MP main camera, 12MP super wide -angle camera and 10MP Tele camera that supports 3X optical zoom. It also has a 12MP selfie camera on the external screen and the camera hidden under the improved screen inside. Z Fold7 is expected to have a 4,400mAh battery and support 25W fast charging.

Both models will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB minimum RAM and 256GB memory. Water dust resistance is raised to IP48, along with stereo speakers and USB-C ports. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold7 can only be 4.5mm thin when opened and 9.5mm when folded – a big step forward in design.
Another interesting point is that this device duo is likely to be installed One UI 8.0 based on Android 16 as soon as it launches, marking the first generation of Samsung phone using this software platform before the Galaxy S26 series. If nothing changes, this will be one of Samsung’s biggest events this year, with a series of hardware and software products that clearly show the ambition to continue leading in the field of folding mobile devices and XR technology.
