Samsung has officially announced the latest mid -range phone called Galaxy M56, with a highlight of the ultra -thin design but still maintains a large capacity battery and powerful charging. According to the manufacturer, Galaxy M56 is the thinnest smartphone in the segment today.

Compared to the previous generation, the Galaxy M56 has a thickness of only 7.2mm, which is 30% thinner than the Galaxy M55 (7.8mm). The device is also lighter than some rivals in the same line, with a weight of 180g, equivalent to M55 but lighter than the Galaxy A56 (198g). Although the body is thin, the device still integrates a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging as the previous generation.
Galaxy M56 owns Super AMOLED+ 6.74 inch size, Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz scan frequency. Samsung says this screen is 33% brighter and 36% thinner than the M55. This is also one of the largest and sharpest screens in its mid -range segment.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy M56 is equipped with Exynos 1480 processor, last year’s 4nm chip with AMD RDNA 2 graphics and Cortex-A78/A55 CPU architecture. Although not as strong as Exynos 1580 on the Galaxy A56, Exynos 1480 still meets the daily use needs. The cooling system is also upgraded with a steam chamber 33% greater than the M55, which helps improve cooling efficiency during use.
The device comes with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 128GB of internal memory (UFS 3.1 standard). Galaxy M56 supports 5G network connection (Sub-6GHz) on multiple bands (1, 3, 5, 8, 28, 40, 41, 78), two physical sim slots, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. However, the device does not have a microSD card slot as well as NFC.
In terms of camera, Galaxy M56 uses 50MP f/1.8 main sensor, supporting optical stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording at 30fps with 10-bit HDR mode. This camera has the ability to zoom 2x with a sensor instead of a telephoto lens. The trio of rear cameras also include 8MP super wide -angle lens and 2MP Macro camera. On the front, the device is equipped with a 12MP selfie camera f/2.2.

The device also integrates Galaxy AI features to enhance photography experience such as edit suggestions, delete unwanted objects or convert images into clips.
Although there is no water resistance, Galaxy M56 has been significantly improved in durability compared to the previous generation. Samsung used Gorilla Glass Victus+ glass for both the front and back, helping to increase scratch resistance 4 times compared to the anonymous glass on the M55. Besides, the machine also passed the test drop from a height of 2 meters.
Galaxy M56 will have two color options including light green and black (Black), made in India. Samsung is committed to supporting software for this device until the end of 2030, including 6 operating system updates and 6 years of security patch.

The product will officially open for sale in India from April 23 with a starting price of 25,000 Inr, equivalent to about 7.6 million. It is not clear whether Samsung introduces this Galaxy M56 in Vietnam market.
